Abstract (EN)

The People's Republic of China is the country with the largest population in the world, hosting one fifth of the world's population. At the same time, it is moving rapidly towards becoming an economic leader. In 1978, it started to pursue a foreign policy and thus achieved a rapid economic growth. The People's Republic of China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001, enabling more free trade with the outside world. It has become one of the biggest economic powers in the world today with the economic performance it showed. Today, Turkey has become the most important trade partners to the Republic of China. This study analyzed trade relations with Turkey in the recent time with reference to the economic situation in the People's Republic of China, Turkey has tried to produce a new scenario for the future of trade relations between the two countries. In these relations, the "One Belt One Road" initiative project is very important and created new opportunities in the economic sense. Turkey is one of the countries that are evaluating and looking into these kind of opportunities.
