Abstract (EN)

In this study, behaviors of the steel piles at the end feet of the integral bridges under the effects of distant and near faults were examined. Integral bridges are rigid framed bridges whose end feet are supported with single row steel piles. In this study, the results of the pile deformations of the bridge end feet and the weight of the bridge model were analyzed statically and dynamically under the moving and constant loads and the results were discussed .The study was carried out considering the effects of near and distant faults. Model #55555 has been modelled in SOLIDWORKS and this model has been transferred to ANSYS Mechanical APDL Interacting surfaces in the model are defined as interaction elements. With the finite element method which is the basis of ANSYS program, the system is completed by dividing the volumetric masses. In order to investigate the behavior of the steel piles in the ground, arch assignment operation is performed by considering the ground parameters and by considering the X,Y,Z coordinates of the sections which are considered to be in the ground at the nodes formed where the division process is completed. In the model, dynamic analysis was performed by considering distant and near fault effects. A total of 13 earthquakes from the near and distant fault movements that occurred in the world have been used in the dynamic analysis. In the study, peak ground velocity, peak ground acceleration and distance to fault line were taken into account when selecting acceleration records. The maximum acceleration value of the earthquakes used in the near fault effect has been scaled from -10.00g up to + 10.00g wıth increments of 0.05g. Dynamic analysis of the deformation, displacement, values and graphics of maximum and minimum stresses was done by examining the piles considering the effects of near fault and distant faults.
