Abstract (EN)
The novels of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu demonstrate a characteristic that reflects thepolitical and social events of the implied period. Many of these novels include a thesis. Thatcharacteristic of his novels matches the period when he set out the Fecr-i Ati (Dawn of the newAge-A literary school about 1900-1910) formation and was transformed more socius in histhoughts. In his novels, generally, the plot shows a love affair or a parental drama; however, a largerplan and a characteristic that reflects the society?s general structure, is seen in the deep structure.The novels, one by one, can be seen as a period?s demonstration. These novels can bearranged chronologically, realizing that characteristic. That Chronology is set considering to therank of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu in his life. The novels reflect these ranks in his life period. Forinstance, Savage (Yaban) is a novel that he wrote when he was in duty in a control associationafter the Salvation War in the Anatolia; An Exile (Bir Sürgün) is based on the observations in theyears he lived in Europe.The novels of Yakup Kadri faced a large reaction in the written, installed and publishedtimes. After the works were published, the debates around the novels called attention to the politicalstructure of the period, political characteristic of the near history and the social changes. If thecharacters and the events of the novels are examined carefully, the views covering thecontemporary life can be fixed. This connection will be more powerful, if the thesis in the novelsis perceived symmetrically.The forms of the thesis in thinking, and pursuing the connection with contemporary life,bring out some emphasized `conculations?. For instance, a comparison between the politicalvarieties and the perception of the `poli-partycalism? of the period, the way that realizing theconcept `in party democracy? when the novel Panorama was written, and `the contemporary lifewill be useful in the name of evaluation of the date?.In this work which the novels of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu are held, the reflections of thesteps of social and political changes in the novels emphasized.Key Word: - Political novel- Social change
