Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determined turf performances of some turfgrass species sown in pure and mixed in Tekirdağ/Sultankoy ecological conditions between 2013-2015 years. In the study, perennial ryegrass(Lolium perenne L.), tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) red fescue (Festuca rubra commutata), blue grass (Poa pratensis L.) were used as plant materials. The trial was designed as random blocks trial design with 3 replications. In the experiment, speed of germination, ground cover speed, turf height, fresh biomass, turf colour, tillering, weed competition, general appearance, cold resistance and rate of thinning were determined. Results of experiment indicated that light green color, fast germination, where preferred perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) can take place in a high proportion of mixtures should be preferred. Besides in the research, tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) rich mixtures showed the best performance in terms of high weed control, cold resistance and turf cover scor criteria.
