Abstract (EN)

Keywords: Soil thematic maps, Yalova Central District, Soil class, SPTN, YASS Turkey is located on the Alpine-Himalayan seismic belt which is one of the world's active seismic zones. And the city of Yalova is located on the North Anatolian Earthquake Zone of our country. In Turkey's northern part, the NAF system which has 1500 km length in an east-west direction, shows high seismic activity because, the Anatolian plate remains between the Arabian Plate in the south and the Eurasian plate in the north and therefore, it moves fastly to westward, in the form of opening. In this study, thematic mapping of soil properties has been done for Central District of Yalova. The boundaries of the study cover the boundaries of the Central District due to the highest rate of population growth, construction and development. Soil survey reports of 141 parcels of Yalova's active surveying companies have been reached. Each of the data was prepared by myself as systematic tables and processed to 345 drilling points. These datas are obtained from the GIS programs MapInfo program 1.5 m / 3 m / 4.5 m / 6 m / 7.5 m / 9 m / 10.5 m depth of thematic mapping of the properties were made. In these mappings; Soil classification, corrected SPTN, wn, FC, wL and wP and mapping of groundwater level sizes were created.
