Preparation of nanocomposites of fluorine-containing methacrylate polymers by hydrothermal method

Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, a newly synthesized methacrylate polymer (PFAEMA) and a biopolymer sodium carboxylmethyl cellulose mixture was prepared by hydrothermal method. Three new PFAEMA-NaCMC/Ag bionanocomposites were produced by adding biosynthesized silver nanoparticles (Ag NP) from Hypericum perforatum extract at different weight ratios (3%, 5% and 7%) to the PFAEMA-NaCMC mixture by hydrothermal method. PFAEMA monomer and homopolymer were characterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques. Surface morphologies of nanocomposites were determined by XRD, SEM and EDX analysis. The thermal properties of the materials prepared by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were investigated. The glass transition temperatures (Tg) of the synthesized materials were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The antimicrobial effect of PFAEMA-NaCMC, Ag NPs and nanocomposites against E. coli, S. Aureus and K. pneumoniae bacteria and C. albicans yeast was investigated. In addition, the increase in total antioxidant and oxidant capacities of PFAEMA-NaCMC/Ag nanocomposites depending on Ag NP dose was determined.
