Abstract (EN)

In the this thesis, firstly 2-metil-1-{[(1-{4-[(4-nitrobenzil)oksi]fenil}etilidene) amino]oksi}prop-2-en-1-on (NBOEMA) monomer monomer was prepared and characterized. The free radical copolimerization of this monomer with Methylmethacrylate (MMA) was carry out in 1,4 dioxane solvent by using AIBN initator at 60±1 oC. The copolymers were charecterized by IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques. Elemental analysis was used to determine the molar fraction of NBOEMA and MMA in the copolymers. The monomer- reactivity ratios were calculated according to the general coplymerization equation using Kelen ?Tüdos (K-T) and Fineman-Ross (F-R) linearization methods. The thermal behaviours of coplymers with various compositions were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
