Özet (EN)

In the this thesis, firstly 2-thienylmethyl chloroacetate (TMC) compound was synthesized and by reaction with sodium methacrylate 2-oxo-2-(2-tiyenilmetoksi) ethyl-2-methacrylate (OTEM) monomer was also synthesized and characterized. The free radical copolimerization of this monomer with 2-tiyenilmetil?4-vinilbenzil eter(VBMT) was carry out in 1,4 dioxane solvent by using AIBN initiator at 60±1 oC. The copolymers were charecterized by IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques. Elemental analysis was used to determine the molar fraction of OTEM and VBMT in the copolymers. The monomer reactivity ratios were calculated according to the general coplymerization equation using Kelen?Tüdos (K-T) and Fineman-Ross (F-R) linearization methods. The thermal behaviours of coplymers with various compositions were investigated by differantial scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
