Özet (EN)
Wo/man, who is the creator and director of the process of design in architecture, continues to make use of the opportunities offered by technology in order to present and express his or her intellectual activities, to prepare them for the process of production, and finally, to facilitate the production process. In light of technology and with the opportunities created by structural developments and developments in the system of production, projects that are being carried out have become increasingly more extensive, as the time required for their implementation have become shorter. The growth of the sector, the rate at which technology is developing, machination, industrialization and the developments in the use of chemicals also bring along certain health risks for those working in building production. There thus arises the need to make arrangements to prevent possible workplace accidents and to continuously improve the arrangements made and practices in line with developments. The work done in this extent in the production process is brought under the heading ?Occupational health and safety.? The requirements of OHS practices in our country have been arranged by laws in accordance with articles 48, 49 and 50 of our constitution, which are about the Occupational. The laws made have been put in practice through regulations prepared by the Ministry of Work and Social Security, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. These laws and regulations are taken to be the legal bases of the OHS practices which constitute a part of the building production process. This study attempts to evaluate issues regarding OHS practices, the problems encountered and the precautions to be taken in light of the related articles in law and the regulations prepared by the ministries. The Occupational Health and Safety Law numbered 6331 which has been passed on 20 / 6 / 2012 and took effect through publication in the Official Paper on 30 / 6 / 2012 constitutes the gyst of OHS practices. The topic of occupational health and safety in the construction process is a topic that covers an extensive area and must constantly be renewed by recent developments. Numerous academic studies have been conducted on the subject at the Master?s and PhD levels. When we explore the structure of these studies, we find a concentration on the topics of the social and economic aspects of OHS activities, analyses of the results of accidents, we see a concentration on the topics of the applied methods of activity. (Add-4. Thesis Studies on OHS Topics Between Years 2010-2012). Attention has been paid to structuring this study on OHS practices by basing it on the laws and regulations concerning OHS practices. The reason for this is the fact that the art of architecture has been gaining an increasingly important place in the process of building production and those who work in this area bear important legal responsibilities. Key Words : Occupational health and safety, the process of construction
