Abstract (EN)
Human metabolism which has an aerobic life produces several reactive oxygen metabolic and radicals during metabolic process. Metabolic rate in heavy and exhausting exercises increases up to 100 times depending on the intensity of muscular activity compared to resting position. Also, local oxygen consumption will multiply with this increasement. Increase of superoxide anion in mitochondrion happens with the increase of amount of oxygen.In this sense, the study aims to research whether artificial turfs have any effect on the oxidative stress by comparing the exercises done in artificial turf and in natural turf. Twenty four men having no regular exercise habits, having average Body Mass Index (BMI) 21.79±1.79, the average age 21.70 ± 1.54 (years) and average height 180.60 ±4.29 (cm) participated to this study. Subjects were divided into two separate groups as Artificial Turf Group (ATG) and Natural Turf Group (NTG). All subjects attended exercise, NTG (Monday -Wednesday-Friday), ATG (Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday), between 9.30 and 11.00 during 12 weeks. Plasma blood samples were taken from all subjects before the exercise, after acute exercise and after the exercise being practiced regularly through 12 weeks.It is determined that MDA amounts of ATG and NTG subjects cause statistically significant differences before exercise and after acute shuttle run exercise (p<0,01) in this study. However, shuttle run exercise being done 3 days in a week through 12 weeks effects and decreases not only MDA amount of ATG but also of NTG. It is determined that NOx rates of ATG and NTG subjects bring about statistically significant differences before exercise and after acute shuttle run exercise ( p<0,05). It is stated that sit-up running exercise being practiced 3 days in a week through 12 weeks effects and decreases both NOx rates of ATG and NTG subjects. It is stated that acute exercise being done by ATG and NTG subjects effects and decreases GSH activity. It is determined that shuttle run exercise being done 3 days in a week through 12 weeks effects and increases GSH rates of TG subjects. It is stated acute exercise being done by both ATG and NTG effects and decreases SOD rate. It is determined that it causes statistically significant differences (p<0,05, p<0,01) on the SOD rate of ATG and NTG subjects before exercise and after chronic exercise.Consequently, it is seen that exercise brings about oxidative stress. Increasing MDA and NOx rates and decreasing GSH and SOD rates with acute exercises being practiced to ATG and NTG subjects can effecting oxidant-antioxidant balance. On the other hand, it is determined that acute exercise holds stable or decreases MDA and NOx rates, and it increases GSH and SOD activity. Also, it is determined that ATG subjects have more MDA rate compared to NTG subjects when it is looked at from perspectives of different field setup.
