Face detection using artificial neural networks

Especially lately, since computers became stronger and cheaper and camera equipments aswell, the field of human computer communication has been a populer area to deal with.In this work, it has been worked on finding and tracking human faces over videosequences.Finding human faces in digital images plays an important role in security andsurvelliance systems, building human computer interfaces, video communication systems andautomatic face recognition systems.In this thesis, human faces, which taken by a web cam, is found and tracked over sequences.Aneural based filter is used to find human faces and a skin classifier is used for tracking.Theneural based filter is a Multilayer Perceptron.
