Abstract (EN)
COMPARISON OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-SUPPORTED AND TRADITIONAL REFORMER PILATES PROGRAMS: EFFECTS OF 8-WEEKS EXERCISE ON POSTURE AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT The aim of this study is to comparatively investigate the effects of the traditional Reformer Pilates program (GAP) and the artificial intelligence-supported personalized Reformer Pilates program (YAP) on posture alignment and functional movement quality in healthy adults. The study was conducted using a pre-test/post-test control group experimental design. The sample consisted of 30 volunteers aged 20-45 years, randomly divided into an experimental group (n=15) and a control group (n=15). During the 8-week intervention (2 days/week, 60 min/session), the control group followed a fixed traditional Reformer Pilates protocol, while the experimental group followed a personalized program optimized weekly based on performance data using ChatGPT algorithms. Data were collected using the APECS (Advanced Posture Evaluation and Correction System) for posture analysis and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) for functional movement quality. Mixed ANOVA was used for data analysis. According to the findings, statistically significant improvements were observed in posture parameters (alignment of ears, shoulders, ASIS, knees, and feet) and all FMS sub-parameters in both groups over time (p<0.05). However, no statistically significant difference was found between the AI-supported program and the traditional program in terms of posture and functional movement scores in intergroup comparisons (p>0.05). In conclusion, it was determined that Pilates-based exercises are effective in improving posture and movement quality regardless of the method; however, AI-supported individualization did not provide a statistically significant superiority over the traditional method within the scope of the current sample and duration. Keywords: Artificial intelligence, Reformer Pilates, Posture, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), ChatGPT.
