Abstract (EN)

The nose has a dynamic structure together with the nasal muscles. Nasal muscles can be damaged during surgical procedures such as septorhinoplasty. This damage can affect important functions such as phonation, respiration and facial expressions. Open technique septorhinoplasty provides a clear view of the nasal bone and cartilage structures, allowing the surgeon to better evaluate anatomical disorders. The open technique is more effective in correcting specific pathological conditions and is more controlled. The closed technique, on the other hand, does not involve external incisions, requires less dissection and minimizes scar formation. However, it may require a more blind dissection. Both techniques have potential complications and possible outcomes should be considered when choosing a technique. The difficult structure of the nasal muscles and the potential damage during surgery can lead to deterioration of nasal movements and nasal functions. Comparison of structural and preventive aesthetic septorhinoplasty techniques is important in terms of recurrence rates, patient satisfaction, postoperative process and complications, and these comparisons are necessary to increase the overall quality of surgical results and improve patient care. These techniques provide long-term and stable results by preserving the natural support structures of the nose or by maximizing the original anatomy and function. In order to determine which technique is more advantageous, aesthetic septorhinoplasty cases performed between 2019-2024 will be examined in the study.
