Abstract (EN)

Artistic thinking is independent of social conventions and precludes the mechanical language which expresses itself in completed words. It?s the thinking which has itself as its end (auto-telos); it does not involve a conclusion but a representation. It is in this context that objects of the world of appearances, in which we are situated in yet that stands before us externally, cease to be strictly defined identifiable representational objects and become a unity of representations. Artistic thought in this sense, surpasses the material, mechanical sphere and harbours the possibilities of the other. Named object expresses the will of the namer. Ethical, aesthetic, intellectual and ideological values start from the individual?s conscioussness to reach the collective consciousness. And then, as desiring a transcendent reality they arrive at the universal consciousness. The values, that are the products of abstraction, express the aim of our desire. In this context the individual, as the (culture) bearer of the value system which he/lives in, is the universal will. Correspondingly, an image on the canvas represents the formation of the eternal existence of the experience. (the will) In this sense, what?s expressed in artistic thinking is not the formal structure of appearance but the pluralistic nature of meaning. Modern art, precluding the formal art that places appearances in planes or sculptures, envisioned an art which appearances are disclosed in planes or sculptures. This allowed art to exist situated as an appearance in itself among other appearances. In this sense art cease to be a domain where appearances are mirrored (imitation) and becomes a domain where appearances reflect themselves; a domain which has itself as its end. What?s experienced as a spectator in canvas or sculpture is not a representational form anymore but a representation of a moment that the artist is subject to. In this sense a work of art is representation in itself, parallel to reality; a phenomena situated among apperances, harbouring the pluralistic nature of meaning.
