Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of creatıve drama based conflict resolution programme on the conflict resolution(CDBCRP) ability of fifth grade students was studied. As data collection tools, "The scale of conflict resolution scale"(SCRS) developed by Sarı and "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher were used. Also, by applying pretest-posttest-trail test, experimental pattern was used with experimental group, control group and placebo group. The working group of the study consist of 46 fifth grade students ( exprimental group consist of 16 sutudents, control and placebo groups consist of 15 srudensts) studying in sekiz Eylül Secondary school in Kemalpaşa, İzmir in 2018/19 educational year. While eight sessions CDBCRP were carried out with experimental groups, three different seminar studies which were not related to conflict resolution, were conducted with the placebo group and also nothing was conducted in the control group. Besides this, the parents of the students in the experimental group were given a seminer about "how can we solve the conflicts in the family?" at the beginning and end of the study. At the beginning, end and four week later followed study, SCRS was applied all groups. In the analysis of the data obtained from the experimental, control and placebo groups, while Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test For paired Samples was used for in-group data comparison, Kruskal-Wallis H Test for Independent Samples was used for comparison of intergroup data. There was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of all subscales of the experimental group while no significant difference was found between post-test and trail test of integration and domination subscales of the experimental group. And also between the pre-test and post-tests of control and placebo groups was no a significant diffenerence. Consequently, it shows that CDBCRP has a positive effect on students' conflict resolution skills and this effect continues in the dimension of integration and domination. But, it is thought that CDBCRP should be made more effective from the point of avoidance and domination subscales by researchers who will use CDBCRP in their study, for permanence of the skills acquired.
