Theinvestigation of effect of creative drama to visual artseducation in the base of 5.classIn this study, it was researched whether the creative drama method had been effective on the success level, attitude and interest to the lessons of the fifth grade students in their visual arts class.In the research, two classes were identified, one as experiment and the other as control class. During the identification period of these classes, it was paid attention that the number of the students with different genders be close to each other as well as the success levels.Before starting the research, a pre test on attitude scale, validness and reliability of which was tested and prepared for measuring the attitude of both experiment and control classes towards the visual arts class was implemented prior to the drama activities. It was determined that there was not a remarkable difference between the attitudes of either group as a result of the statistical evaluation. This result is an important indication for starting the research. The similarity of the attitudes of both groups before the activity comes out as an important criterion while attaining the result of the study.Within the context of the curriculum, nine topics were selected and same topics were studied with both groups. While these topics in the experiment group were studied with different implementation ways of the creative drama method, the same topics were studied with traditional oral expression and implementation in the control group. ?T? test analysis was made with SPSS program.After the end of the classes, both of the control and experiment groups were tested again with attitude scale final test. In the end of the analysis of the ?t? test, a positive improvement was determined in the attitudes of the students in the experiment group.As a result, it was concluded that there was a positive improvement in the attitude and success level of the fifth grade students with respect to the visual arts lesson that was performed with creative drama method. The students participated to the class which was held within the context of the creative drama activities with pleasure and they found the chance of expressing themselves comfortably.The students, who have learned to share, cooperate and quote their opinions to each other easily through drama activities which have enabled them to socialize, have also started to establish empathy. The most important point that revealed as a result of this research has been the fact that these activities have made a significant contribution to display their creativeness and imagination power and use the class time more effectively.
