Abstract (EN)

Developments in the fields of industry and technology; it has changed the traditional business models in today's design world and allowed new tasks to be established in the existing business lines and the creation of different professional branches. In this way, the use of design extends from a variety of platforms to cultural activities. As a result of these developments, it did not take long for politicians to take place in the market as a business line of art and creative fields and the concept of creative industry gained importance. One of the application areas of illustrators, who are defined as creative entrepreneurs, working in many fields of creative industries, is the field of digital publishing. Interactive e-books for children, which is one of the digital publishing areas that play a role in the transfer of local culture, are being used as an effective educational tool with the opportunities provided by tablet devices to the user. The main purpose of this study is to try to explain how to evaluate the design elements of interactive e-books on tablet devices for preschool children in creative industries. Within the scope of the research, what is the creative industry to begin with, its place and importance in the design world has been conveyed with data and how today's illustrators take place in these fields has been investigated. The aim of this study was to determine the place of digital publishing in creative industries by means of reports, and to find out how to transfer cultural e-books into interactive industrial works. The development process and future of the interactive e-book has been discussed where digital reading has become more important nowadays. In interactive e- books, it is tried to prove the necessity of storytelling according to age group; storytelling for preschool children; has been researched with current examples. In line with the information provided, the design elements of the interactive e-book for preschool children were evaluated and the importance of visual design principles and Ben Shneiderman's design rules was tried to be revealed in order to ensure the usability of the book. In the interdisciplinary design process of the interactive e-book, the renewed and changing duties of the illustrator were examined. All this research process; In addition to the literature review as a qualitative research method, translations were made where necessary, and experiments and reports about the research were transferred.
