Abstract (EN)

Tourism is seen as an interdisciplinary field and in this sense, studies related to different fields of tourism are encountered. Studies on tourism emphasise the individual experience and the experience and active participation of the individual. In this sense, the concept of 'creative tourism' has emerged in recent years and has gradually found a place in the tourism literature. Creative tourism is defined as a way of learning the unique values of a place by directly experiencing them with the people living in the region. This research focuses on creative tourism, which is an increasingly important research topic in the world. The thesis aims to conceptually analyse creative tourism and its applications in Turkey and the world and to reveal a general view of the studies on the subject in the world. In this context, it is planned to examine the research on creative tourism in national and international tourism literature in the context of certain criteria. DergiPark and Higher Education Thesis Centre (YÖK Thesis) for national literature and Web of Science (WOS) database for international literature review. Scientific studies within this scope were analysed according to criteria such as research areas, number of publications by years, types of publications, publication languages, databases, journals and countries of publication. As a result of the bibliometric analysis conducted through the RStudio data analysis programme, it is aimed to reveal the focal points of the research on creative tourism and its general situation in the world and to provide suggestions in this direction. As a result, it is understood that creative tourism has become prominent in tourism studies in recent years worldwide. On the other hand, it has been observed that there are not enough articles in Turkey, especially in the TR Index. It has been determined that there are no publications in the index except for a few academicians working on this subject and it has been determined that creative tourism is a field suitable for study. It should not be forgotten that the field of study will expand especially with the prominence of intangible cultural heritage.
