Measuring disaster culture level of needy individuals: Gümüşhane province Kelkit county example

Appeared to have devastating impacts, also ending up several injuries and deaths in medical aspect, the disasters have physical , social effects people , thus, it s necessary to raise awareness and improve the each individual „s ability of coping with the disasters . Besides. Ġt turned up that the most affected sectıon from the damages caused by the disasters are individuals having economic inability and being disabled physically. Carried out in the light of above data, this study is performed by face to face filling the survey method on 201,000 test subjects, living in GümüĢhane/Kelkit District and picked up romdomly, so as to measure the disaster culture level of care-seeking individuals . The survey is formed with 8 demographic questions fort he use of determining the 15 disaster culture level of care-seeking individuals and the indications obtanied is processed by SPSS, version 24 Analysis Program. According to the indications, the disaster culture level of individuals having poor income is lower comparing the individuals having higher income . It is concluded that the education level is effective in having the optained results and the disaster culture level of female test subjects is lower than the male subjects.
