Distribution way in fresh fruit and vegetables marketing and an application

ABSTRACTIn Turkey, where there is suitable geographical and weather conditions; as aconsequance various fruits and vegetables can be produced, one of the problems that producercannot get their products worth. Because of inadequate volume of demand for agriculturalproducts produced in domestic market, prices are low.Whether, agricultural products are consumed in domestic market or exported, thequality and quantity of fruits and vegetables reduced on every step form producer toconsumer; furthermore, they are consumed mostly fresh. These reasons make functions ofdistribution ways important.Marketing of agricultural products is as difficult as producing qualified products inthese days; therefore it is very important to transport fruits and vegetablaes without qualitiyreduction. Fresh fruits and vegetables lose their freshness in a few days; hence the activities tofind market for these products need more information, care and technique.This research aim to prove the importance of distrubition ways of marketing fresh fruitand vegetables and to expose probable problems. The application of this research wasperformed with the fresh fruit and vegatable marketing enterprises located in Antalya. First,problems about distribution activities were exposed then solutions were tried to develop. Datawere evaluated by using SPSS ( Statistical Programing for Social Scientist ) statisticsprogram. Chi -Square analysis which is not a parametric test is carried out to relate data ofthis research hypotesis.
