Abstract (EN)

Consumer behavior is a dynamic construct that undergoes variations contingent upon temporal and sociocultural factors. Consumers exhibit receptivity to the development of novel behaviors resulting from both physiological and psychological impetuses. An individual's consumption proclivities evolve within the framework of experiences accrued both prior to and post-purchase. Dynamic environmental factors exert a discernible influence on consumer purchasing behaviors. Within this context, crises such as a pandemic invariably prompt individuals to gravitate towards emergent avenues of consumption, thereby inculcating fresh behavioral patterns within these domains. The Covid-19 pandemic, an all-encompassing global phenomenon, has wielded substantial impact upon economies, essential spheres of human activity, social dimensions, and sectoral markets. Its ongoing repercussions are anticipated. While the ultimate termination date of this global pandemic remains indeterminate, it has imposed an inescapable necessity upon individuals and industries alike to adapt to newly emerging variables, within the milieu of uncertainty wrought by the protracted pandemic. The novel modes of existence engendered by Covid-19 have precipitated a metamorphosis in previously established habits, lifestyles, and sectoral practices, thereby inaugurating a nascent epoch. This scholarly inquiry seeks to elucidate the experiences of individuals aged 65 and beyond, a demographic designated as elderly by the World Health Organization (WHO), in the context of online shopping procedures within the ambit of this novel way of life. Employing qualitative research methodologies, specifically in-depth interview techniques, this study endeavors to unveil the interplay between age and the pandemic as pertains to the utilization of digital shopping tools, the nexus between demographic variables and technological adoption, and the cognitive dispositions and behavioral patterns exhibited by elderly consumers in the milieu of an increasingly digitized consumer society. The technology acceptance model serves as a foundational framework guiding this investigation.
