The education politics about the boarding primary zone schools since the establishment of Turkish republic (1923-2000)

In this study, The Education Politics About The Primary Boarding Schools of Turkish Republic between 1923 and 2000 in a crtical point of view was aimed. The study is started with the presentation of introductional datas about Primary Education and Boarding Primary Schools and the content and results of past researches. After the introduction , the establishment purposes, importance and targets of these schools was expained, and also historical developments and activities was examined; the politics and applicaitions about the Boarding Primary Zone Schools was aimed to reflect in the subject of The Education Politics Of Turkish Republic.The innovation and modernisation movement was strongly felt during the establishment of Turkish Republic. Education was one of the most important movement in this process. It is also emphaised by Ataturk that rearrangements and revolution about education is required for this process complition. Regardlessly, big effort is spent for educational revolutionary in this period. These efforts has been more focused on primary education that is in the scope of education system. By forming equal opportunity in order to enable all childen to benefit from primay education, making all levels of primary education obligatory and free of charge has been targeted since the establisment of republic. To be able to do so, Primary Boarding Schools were built for several purposes. All these schools were used as an instrument to generalize the Mandatory Primary Education to all over the country by yielding equality of opportunity. In this study, the reflect of Turkish Republic?s education programs to Boarding Primary Zone Schools was tried to state expressly from year 1923 to 2000..In study, the informations about the decided and applied education politics in Government, National Education Council and Development Plans, determinatons about these schools, the laws and regulations about the primary education during 1923 ? 2000 was given by scanning of literature.The main aim of this scanning is to pave the way for the subject of the education politics about the Boarding Primary Zone Schools during 1923 ? 2000. The primary education politics in the national education and development plans of the political groups who have formed a government potency in these years was examined. The Tebliğler Magazine, which is published by the Ministry of National Education between 1923 ? 2000, was scanned and the prescriptions and enactments for the Boarding Primary Zone Schools and Turkish Republic Education Politics about these schools was aimed to explained by using the workings in this field.
