Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT: The coronary slow flow phenomenon (CSFP) is an angiographic clinical entity, characterized by delayed distal vessel opacification in the absence of significant epicardial coronary stenosis. The pathogenic mechanisms are incompletely understood. Microvascular dysfunction, endothelial and vasomotor dysfunction and occlusive disease is shown as underlying pathophysiological mechanism. dipose tissue is an active endocrine and paracrine organ that releases several bioactive mediators that influence not only body weight homeostasis but also inflammation, coagulation, fibrinolysis, insulin resistance, diabetes, and atherosclerosis. The secretion of several adipocytokines, such as adiponectin and vaspin, is altered in subjects with abdominal adiposity; these endocrine alterations could contribute to increased cardiovascular risk. However, the pathogenic mechanism of relationship between these adipocytokines and slow coronary flow is incompletely understood. We aimed to investigate the relationship between serum levels of adiponectin and vaspin and SCF. In the study were included slow coronary flow (n = 40) and normal coronary flow (n = 38) subjects, who applied to angiograph in the catheterization laboratory of Duzce University. In this study, adiponectin levels were lower in SCF group than NCF group, but there was no statistically significant difference between in these two groups. When we evaluated the parameters of the adiponectin and vaspin distribution, we found that there was not a normal distribution with a value of vaspin. Therefor non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was performed .The value of vaspin was significantly higher in CSF patients than in NCF (p<0.001). These molecules should be investigated in larger groups to use of screening and detection of SCF and CAD.
