Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of superstructure rigidity on the analysis of mat foundations bu using a finite element method software: Midas GTS.In this study, mat foundations have been investigated; types, functions, using conditions and calculation methods of mat foundatios have been explained. Some softwares related to mat foundations have been also presented and Midas GTS software has been used to go on to this study.Much number of models have been set up to show the effect of superstructure rigidity. Superstructure loads have been modelled in different types such as distributed loads, column loads and modelling all building and results have been presented in figures and tables.It has been founded that the superstructure rigidity has effect on the results and it must be taken into account.
