Abstract (EN)
In this study, the change in the amount of carbon was determined in the soil different stand structure in pure beech stands in Central Anatolia Forestry Research Institute of Forest Engineering Research Yaylacık. For this purpose, 4 different levels of depth in the soil (0-10 cm and 10-20 cm, 20-30 cm and 30-40 cm) soil samples were taken through cylinders each trial area from each stand. According to results of analysis of soil samples the different stand structure (a, b, c, d and degraded stand); soil organic matter, carbon ratio and carbon content values decreases when going towards the lower layers from the top layer of soil, and the bulk density increased in the soil's substrate value on the substrate. In this study, it was determined, the average amount of carbon in the soil of the degraded stand take the highest value, where as the average amount of carbon in the soil (a) stand taked the lowest value. In addition, the average amount of carbon in the soil (b) stand were found relatively higher than (a, c and d) stand soils.
