Abstract (EN)
In the most basic sense, journalism activities are defined as "activities for informing the public, informing them in the most accurate, most impartial way." Publication bans and imposed censors prevent this information and restrict the role of the media and make the role of the journalist against the public questionable. At the same time, it makes it impossible for the media, which is claimed to be the fourth power, to fulfill its duties and responsibilities. In the period when crises, especially terror events, are experienced, this information is needed more than ever. In this period, where the media is expected to act in a sensitive manner, the media is expected to lose a lot of work, and it is expected to pay attention to the news language, informations and details. Considering that the aim of terrorism is to make propaganda, attention must be paid to every statement used to avoid serving this purpose. Although its foundations were based on much earlier, recent history was preferred to make a historical restriction. In the last 5-year period, publication bans that have been brought about after the events defined as an act of terrorizing terror have been among the most important debates. Among the events that create indignation, the publication ban after the explosion in Reyhanlı in 2013, after the explosion in Ankara in 2015 and the publication bans on the Reina attack in the first hours of 2017 will be the subject of the article. Considering the fact that the broadcasting ban was introduced, the first news were included in the study and the news made on the first two days of the events were evaluated. Starting from the headlines of the news, the details mentioned, the language used, the visuals, the remarkable expressions were examined. The method of the study is to examine the literature after comprehensive literature review and the critical discourse analysis.
