Abstract (EN)

In our thesis study, we made an analysis on Yeditepe Magazine,which is one of the most important literary magazines that give a direction tothe cultural atmosphere of 1950s. Our study was made taking into account172 issued published between years 1950-1960.This study we made on Yeditepe magazine is formed from foursections. In the Introduction section of our study, information is given aboutpolitical, social and cultural developments that occurred from 1950s, whenthe Yeditepe magazine was first published, until 1980s. The first sectioncomprises information about the general view of Turkish literature betweenyears 1940-1980 and of the magazines of that period. The second periodcomprises information about the formation and characteristics of themagazine, the poet and author staff who write in the magazine. In the thirdsection of our study, the literary texts included in the magazine wereanalyzed according to their sorts and subjects. The texts were collectedunder two titles as prose and verse. The prose was classified according totheir sorts and each §ort was taken into account separately. The poemswere analyzed according to characteristics such as sound, language,structure and theme. In the fourth section, index of the articles in themagazine was prepared in three different styles according to thepublishing date, author's surname and sorts.In the conclusion section, a general assessment was made on theposition of Yeditepe Magazine in Turkish literature. Our study ends withbibliography section.Magazines have played an important role in enriching our cultural lifefrom the years they started to be published. We believe that studies madeon literary magazines will assume important duties in literature historystudies from the aspect of enlightening the change undergone by theTurkish literature.
