Abstract (EN)

In this study, the structural characteristics of the agricultural enterprises engaged in forage crop cultivation in Tokat province, Almus district were determined and economic analysis was made. Forage crops are of great importance for the research area. Forage crops are grown in 55.81% of the cultivation areas in the enterprises examined. The costs of the fodder plants produced have been calculated. The cost of 1 kg of watery clover was 0.84 TL, the cost of 1 kg of silaged corn was 0.15 TL and the cost of 1 kg of fodder peas was 0.95 TL. In addition, a chi-square analysis was conducted to determine whether there was an interaction between the forage crop production area of the enterprises examined and some other variables. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the forage crop cultivation area in the examined enterprises does not depend on the age, educational status and professional experience of the owner, but depends on the presence of animals in the enterprise and the size of the enterprise. Capital structures and annual activity results of enterprises have been researched and their economic analysis has been made. The average size of the enterprises surveyed is 39.69 da. It has been determined. 67.32% of the lands in the enterprises consist of property lands, and 32.68% of them are rented lands. 75.57% of the total active capital in enterprises consists of farm (land) capital and 24.43% of it is working capital. In the enterprises examined, gross revenue was calculated as 67 435.15 TL, operating expenses 45 990.34 TL, real costs 40 469.75 TL, net income 21 444.81 TL, agricultural income 26 965.40 TL and total family income 28 406.40 TL. The profitability factor was 31.80%, financial profitability 4.51% and economic profitability 4.26%. The continuation of forage crop support, the widespread use of second crop forage crop production in irrigated areas and the continued production of roughage by livestock farms will ensure that forage crop cultivation will continue to increase in the research area.
