Abstract (EN)

In spite of the fact that food wastes must be prevented, for not properly managed can cause great harm to both the environment and the economy. Food waste is produced at every stage from production to disposal. The aim of this study is to evaluate the current status and quantity of food wastes and to use them as alternative products by field studies. Accordingly, surveys were conducted to determine the current state of the food wastes. Due to the fact that the food waste is not homogenous and varies according to time, place of origin, number of people, food waste has been collected from various places and characterization of waste has been determined. In order to have a more homogenous structure of food waste, these wastes should be classified according to their types such as organic, evaluable waste (glass, metal, paper, cardboard, etc.). As a result, information technologies were used to collect food wastes. A model has been developed by creating panels of different tasks and users in the system.
