Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to evaluate the curriculum of the new 9th Grade Physics lesson which was put into practice on the basis of the teachers? opinions all over the country in 2008-2009 academic year.The data in the research, has been acquired by using survey model. 80 Physics Teachers in the 9th Grade in 2008-2009 educational year in Mersin and its disctricts have formed the sampling of the resarch. In order to get their opinions about the curriculum which has been newly carried out, 80 teachers were asked a questionnaire which is totally consisted of 69 questions. In the analysis of the data of the questionnaire, the statistics techniques have been used.At the end of the research, the teachers stated their negative thoughts about correcting the defectiveness of the old curriculum, getting the students ready for the universty, being the parallelism wtih the other subjects at school, physical conditions of the schools, the sufficent equipment and the duration of the lesson which is thought for the curriculum.However, they stated their positive opinions about the curriculum of physics lesson for 9th Grade which is a continvation of the Science and Techonology, being prepeared by sampling from the daily life and having professional sufficiency of the teachers to be carried out.Key words : Curriculum , Improving Programme, New Curriculum for the 9th Grade Physics lesson.
