Abstract (EN)
Since the Inland Northwestern Anatolia, have a junction point between Central Anatolia and the north, south and coast of Western Anatolia, it has the characteristic of being a region open to many cultural/political influences. It has always been on the main route of human mobility due to various reasons with its borders in different regions and its natural communication routes. There have been numerous researches concerning the prehistoric periods of Inland Northwestern Anatolia covering roughly Bithinia and part of Phrygia the Antiquity, the works on the Second Millennium BC still stand as an important lacune. In this study, in addition to early investigations, new excavation and surface surveys were taken into consideration. The formation processes of the Second Millennium BC cultures will be examined especially in the light of pottery. And beside pottery small finds and architectural traditions and written documents will be taken in consideration, and the place of the region in the Anatolian cultural and political structure of the Second Millennium BC will be explored.
