Abstract (EN)
In this study, three Schiff bases S-1, S-2 , S-3 have been synthesised firstly the reaction between 4-nitro-1,2-phenylenediamine and salicylaldehyde ( for S-1) , 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde (for S-2) and 5-methylsalicylaldehyde (for S-3). Nitro groups of them have been reduced to amino group with Na2S2O4. N-1, N-2, N-3 and T-1, T-2, T-3 compounds have been formed by adding 1-hydroxy-2-naphthaldehyde and terephthaldialdehyde into the reduced solution, respectively. The new compounds have been characterized with elemental analyses, IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. Solid state conductivity of the compounds have been determined with van der Pouw technique.Key Words : Schiff bases, diimines, hegzaimines, reduction, solid state conductivty
