Abstract (EN)

The New Economy is the product of some developments that occuredduring the preceding 20 years. The most notable characteristics of thisprocess is the rapid increase in the IT sector's (Informations andCommunications). Knowledge has become the most important productionfactor. This evolution has been changed production processes to make wayfor productivity increase and has ben effect on employment with new workingstyles and alternating in neediness of labour-force. In new economy,countries which have ability to build up new technologies, have capacity toproduct knowledge. This countries have gain a steady growth trend withproductivity boost and also have competition advantage in global markets.In this study, has been composed a ?Knowledge and Science Index?for made to display Turkey?s position in the domain of knowledge andtechnology. The scores which belong to index have been used in clusteranalysis, determined countries that parallel to Turkey. Analysis of variancehas been made to determine if a significant differences in various measure ofvalues whether or not between country groups which have been acquiredfrom the cluster analysis. In this context, differences that have beenexpected, displayed. Which measure of values caused differences in domainof knowledge and science, between parallel countries to Turkey and othercountries, has been determined again with the analysis of variance . Finally,actual position of Turkey in domain of knowledge and sicence, has beenanalysed with some indicators.
