Abstract (EN)
Although radical treatments are not possible in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, which are neurodegenerative diseases, today it is aimed to slow down the course of the disease and increase the quality of life in individuals with drugs used in the clinic. Successful results have been obtained in the treatment of cholinesterase inhibitors which are widely used in these diseases and monoaminoxidase inhibitors. In this study, indane ring in the structure of anticholinesterase effective molecules and 2-hydrazinothiazole skeletone whose inhibitory activities reported against monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B) have been combined and 4- (substituted phenyl) -2- [2- (3- phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden1-ylidene) hydrazinyl] thiazole derivatives (3a-3i) were synthesized. The structures of the compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass spectroscopy. When the enzyme inhibition activities are evaluated, compounds 3a (42.33%) and 3d (42.39%) on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme; compounds 3g (75.42%) and 3h (60.33%) on MAO-B enzyme, at 10-3 M concentration were found to exhibit the highest inhibition.
