The effect of high density plantation and Spanish bush pruning systems on yield and fruit quality characteristics of some new sweet cherry cultivars

In the study, sweet cherrycultivars Sunburst, Hedelfingen, Meckenheimer, Early Rivers, Venüs, Nadino,Summit, Na-1, Lapins, Na-474 grafted on Idris rootstock were pruned as SpanishBush System. As well as this pruning tecnique, phenologycal and phomologycalinvestigations were performed in Central Leader System pruned trees. In SpanishBush System, blossom period was complated between 19-25 th April, while that datewas 30th April for Central Leader Pruned trees. The harvest date of Sunburst cultivarwas simultaneus for both of two pruning types although the harvest dates for othercultivars were earlier in an alteration of 5-11 days among Spanish Bush System.Lapins and Summit cultivars were pionering as in quality facts in Spanish BushSystem.
