Abstract (EN)
Objective: This study aims to evaluate prenatal intentions, anxiety and breastfeeding in pregnant women with a new type of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Materials and Methods: Demographic information form, prenatal breastfeeding selfefficacy scale, perinatal anxiety screening scale, prenatal attachment inventory were used in the study. The universe of the study consists of 72 pregnant women who have contracted the COVID-19 outbreak at the S.B.Ü Kocaeli Derince Training and Research Hospital. In the analysis of the data, the "Prenatal Attachment Inventory" scale developed by Marry Muller, PASS-TR to measure prenatal anxiety, Prenatal Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale (PYÖE) to evaluate breastfeeding self-efficacy of pregnant women, and Pearson correlation test was used. Results: The average age of the participants is 29.51. Prenatal Attachment Inventory mean score is 61.26 ± 11.68; PASS-TR 32.63 ± 16.74; PTSI was found to be 69.89 ± 17.25. Positive weak correlation between prenatal attachment and prenatal anxiety scale (r = 0.261); A moderate positive correlation was found between prenatal attachment and breastfeeding self-efficacy scale (r = 0.460). A significant relationship was not observed between the prenatal anxiety scale and the breastfeeding selfefficacy scale. Conclusion: While there is no significant relationship between PBI and maternal age, income level, family structure, education level of spouse, number of pregnancies and feeding method; There was a significant relationship between the education level of the mother and the mother. According to the results of the PASS-.TR scale, there was a significant relationship between prenatal anxiety and the education level of the pregnant woman and going for control, but no significant difference was observed between other socio-demographic characteristics. While a significant relationship was found between the PESM level and the education level and income level of the pregnant woman, no significance was found with other socio-demographic characteristics.
