Abstract (EN)
Pincer ligands are ligands that provide the formation of two stable cyclometal rings by tightly binding to the metal center in three coplanar planes. Pincer compounds are called pincer ligands because of the nitrogen (N), carbon (C), sulfur (S), and phosphorus (P) they contain, and because the binding of these donor atoms is similar to the crab's clamp. When the literature studies were examined, it was seen that these compounds can be very diverse and are used in many fields. Pincer compounds are used in fields such as polymer, electrochemistry, medicine, biochemistry and catalytic industry. In these areas, the importance of various polymerization techniques, catalyst properties, microbial and cancer treatment properties has been emphasized. In this study, the synthesis of Fe(II), Mn(II) and Pd(II) complexes from 2-methoxythiophenol with 2,6-pyridinedicarbonyldichloride, a new pincer ligand of SNS type, was carried out. Computational studies of the obtained ligand and its complexes were carried out by illuminating the possible structure of 13C-NMR , 1H-NMR, UV-Vis, FT-IR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis, melting point determination method and other physical properties.
