Abstract (EN)

Ligands with high thermal stability, which are called pincer ligands due to their pincer-like geometric structure, and the complex compounds of these ligands with some transition metals have been investigated. These complexes studied are SNS type complexes in which the central atom is bonded with one Nitrogen (N) and two sulfur (S) atoms. Pincer compounds are an important group of complex compounds, which are used in many different areas with their biological and catalytic properties and on which investigations and studies continue. In this study, Fe(II), Ni(II), Pd(II) complexes of pincer ligand obtained from the reaction of 2,6-pyridinedicarbonyldichloride and 2-chlorothiophenol were synthesized. As a result of the studies, the synthesized ligand and the structures of the metal complexes synthesized from this ligand were elucidated by methods such as 13C and1H-NMR, UV-Vis, FT-IR, elemental analysis, and molar conductivity.
