This is the largest neonatal intensive care unit of Turkey. List of nursing care activity was created by listing the actions taken by defining the activities of nurses for the babies in neonatal intensive care unit. With the aim of determining the nursing practice according to the level of intensive care, `List of Nursing Care Activity? forms were given to avaible patients in the servise by nurses who were responsible for maintenance that day with self-reporting method.By the level of intensive care nursing practice which was performed during the day shift, measurement- monitoring practice was found to be the most common application in levels 2 and 3. By the level of intensive care prosedures performed during the day shift (patient input-output, measurement-monitoring, diagnostic prosedures, laborato prosedures, drug preperation and implementation, external applications, movement, exercise, nutrition and excretion) the second-level and third level were found to be a statictically significant difference (p<0.05). In communication with the babies family, asisting invasive prosedures, care and hygiene applications, there were no statistically significant differences in level 2. and 3 (p> 0.05).By the level of intensive care nursing practice which was performed during the night shift, measurement- monitoring practice was found to be the most common application in levels 2 and 3.
