Financing models in renewable energy sources and their effects on economy: Selected countries examples

In this study, the success of the widely used financing models in the field of renewable energy is examined on the selected countries. The current status of the financing models applied in selected countries, their effects on the economy and how they affect renewable energy resource utilization capacities were analyzed. As a result, the most appropriate financing model has been proposed for turkey. Through the study, observational written sources and reports were used. Quantitative and qualitative information was obtained from the renewable energy reports published by the countries, the reports of official institutions containing information on this subject, scientific articles and written sources that could support this research. Financing models used in selected countries are analyzed on a country basis. Results and findings were reached by evaluating the financing models in the comparative performance analysis table. As a result, in the light of the findings obtained in the study, it is seen that the most preferred financing models are fixed tariff guarantee model, tender method and net measurement model. It has been concluded that financing models have a positive effect on the increase in renewable energy, and that the increase in renewable energy is an important factor in reducing unemployment and dependency on foreign energy. As a result of the comparison of financing models, appropriate financing models were evaluated and recommendations are proposed as models that can be implemented in Turkey.
