Turkish teachers' opinions on realizability of renewed 5 th grade Turkish lesson curriculum outcomes (Example of Kocaeli province)

Abstract (EN)
In this study, detecting Turkish teachers'opinions on realizability rate of 5th grade renewed Turkish lesson curriculum's expected outcomes, started to perform in 2017-2018 academic year, is aimed. With this aim, this study was performed with 205 5th grade Turkish teacher working at secondary schools in the center and districts of Kocaeli Province. The questionnaire form on realizability rate of 5th grade renewed Turkish lesson curriculum and semi-structured interview form were used to collect the data. T-test and ANOVA were used to analyze the quantitative data. Qualitative data was analysed with descriptive analyses and content analysis. It was detected in this study that there is no meaningful difference in teachers'opinions on realizability of Turkish curriculum's outcomes according to gender, age, employment term, educational background and faculty but also it was detected that male teachers' opinions on listening skills' realizability of outcomes are more positive than female teachers. At the end of the stıudy, according to Turkish teachers' opinions, the renewed curriculums's outcomes realizability rate was detected as %72, reading and listening acquirements' realizability rate was detected as %74, speaking acquirements' realizability rate was detected as %64, writing acquirements' realizability rate was detected as %70. At the end of the study, %90 of the teachers think that reading skills acquirements, %87 of the teachers think that listening skills acquirements, %80 of the teachers think that speaking skills acquirements, %76 of the teachers think that writing skills acquirements are appropriate for students' levels. It was detected in this study, according to teachers' opinions on acquirements' clarity and comprehensibility, %93 of reading and listening skills acquirements, %87 of speaking skills acquirements, %73 of writing skills acquirements are clear and comprehensible. It was detected according to findings get from interviews with teachers in the scope of the research that teachers' opinions on renewed curriculum outcomes are mostly positive.
