Abstract (EN)

The Renewal Period occupies an important place in terms of the historical development of Turkish. In this period, many concepts belonging to Western languages were transferred to Turkish through borrowing. In addition, some concepts have been brought into the language through morphological, syntactic and semantic ways. In this way, which is defined as 'derivation' many neologisms have emerged. In this study, the language corpus of the work called "Yeni Türk Edebiyatı Antolojisi " was made in order to determine what the neologisms are. The obtained language material was compared with the vocabulary in some dictionaries of Turkish in previous centuries and new words in this period were tried to be determined. The knowledge fields of the words, which are considered to be neologisms, were determined and and it was explained from which source language they were taken. It has also been explained in detail which language's ways of making words benefit from these words that entered the language through borrowing and derivation. As a result of the study, it was revealed that many concepts from French, which was the language of science and culture of the period, were brought into the language by both borrowing and derivation. It has been observed that the structural elements of Turkish, Persian and especially Arabic were used while making derivations.
