Algorithm developing environment for data transferring in an innovative research and rescue system

Abstract (EN)

It is aimed to be developed research and rescue systems according to preparation for the earthquake which is supposed to be in Marmara area in the near future to save the people who will stay under the dent after the earthquake. For this aim, people work on wearable receivers and transmitters. Transmitters and receivers which have suitable frequnecies can be detected by the radiation they radiate in the debris easily. So it is possible to detect the people who will stay under a debris with a big success. Such a system, beyond the detection of the place can work on establishing identities of the people who can stay under the debris. But these applications need faultless data transfer although we have a indistinct and forceful place just as debris. In this work, algorithm developing environment produced for developing data correcting methods for a receivertramsmitter based research and rescue system and after investigation of all algorithms of data correcting, a method has been developed. In recent years, there has been important technological increase in the data transfer. But these innovations are for half- homogeneous spaces just as free space or indoors because of their necessities. But here we have an environment that have loss and is non- homogeneous. So it is necessary to develop new methods. This thesis work contains two parts. One of them is developing hardware and the other part is developing software and the methods. Hardware developing part is consisted of receiving and transmitting set of parts. Software developing part consisted of softwares and developing methods according to all two hardware parts. As hardware, the antennas that belong to all two parts and RF circuits have been developed and by using the development circuits the micocontrollers have been integrated to system. And software part has the embedded codes for microcontrollers and matlab codes to comment the data that is taken by the receiver part. In this work, debris is choosen as an application environment and the method that is developed is used to receive the data which is transferred in this environment so the form of receiving data is searched as an application. We use a nonexistent method to provide to receive the sending data with less loss. In this method, we send each bit of the data packet for a long time (as application allows) and after sending each bit of the data packet we will wait for a time to crackdown the interference for each packet of sending data. To sum up, here we reduce the duty cycle ratio. In this work also general information about some data correcting protocols and problems we are faced by data transferring are given in this work.
