Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of extraction methods which used to obtain oil from peanut and sunflower on the amount of aflatoxin passed into the oil was investigated. For this purpose, after the aflatoxin-free peanut and sunflower samples were inoculated at 5 and 10 µg/kg concentrations, they were extracted their oils with three different extraction methods and aflatoxin analysis was performed in the obtained oils and oil cakes in HPLC-FLD. The amounts of aflatoxin transferred to oils from 5 µg/kg spiked peanut seeds were found as 1.29 (%25.8) µg/kg in cold pressing, 1.11 (%22.2) µg/kg in cold pressing of roasted seeds, 1.03 (%20.6) µg/kg in solvent (hexane) extraction method. When the spiked to 10 µg/kg peanut seeds, the amounts of aflatoxin transferred to oils were found as 2.69 (%26.9) µg/kg, 2.37 (%23.7) µg/kg, 2.19 (%21.9) µg/kg, respectively. The amounts of aflatoxin transferred to oils from 5 µg/kg spiked sunflower seeds were found as 2.76 (%55.2) µg/kg in cold pressing, 1.87 (%37.4) µg/kg in cold pressing of roasted seeds, 0.91 (%18.2) µg/kg in solvent (hexane) extraction method. When the spiked to 10 µg/kg sunflower seeds, the amounts of aflatoxin transferred to oils were found as 5.77 (%57.7) µg/kg, 4.69 (%46.9) µg/kg, 1.96 (%19.6) µg/kg, respectively. In both concentrations of aflatoxins and both oil seeds studied, the transition of aflatoxin to the most oil was by cold press method, followed oils obtained by cold pressing of roasted seeds and the least transition has been in solvent (hexane) extraction method.
