Abstract (EN)

In this study; In addition to classical education to mining engineering students, the way to both facilitate their learning and increase their comprehension speeds has been investigated by using virtual reality technologies. It is aimed to improve students' abilities and to understand the subjects better by using visual reality through virtual reality applications. In this thesis, besides the LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) and wagon transportation systems in mines, information about the working principles of the crawler hole drilling machine and how to make different choices according to the changes in the conditions has been tried to be given in a virtual reality environment. In the training of the user wearing virtual reality glasses in a virtual environment, it is aimed to learn the important details of the mentioned transportation systems and drilling machine with the help of interactive information boxes. Visual models of the drift, ground supporting, production area, transportation and production systems of a virtual underground mine are designed in order to enable user to navigate in a sample mine through virtual reality helmet in the Unity3D. With this thesis, mining engineering students are tried to gain some basic information about an underground pit in a virtual reality environment.
