Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to develop a numerical model of groundwater flow in the lower part of Susurluk Basin located within the boundaries of Karacabey and Mustafakemalpaşa districts of Bursa. For this purpose, the pressure data of 5 observation wells recorded by data logger devices between the years 2013-2015 within the study area were provided from DSİ. The obtained raw data was used to find the distance of the water level from the surface for each well. Daily precipitation and evapotranspiration data of the region recorded by weather stations was obtained from the General Directorate of Meteorology. In GIS environment, the wells were marked as points and boundaries of the basin were determined using a topographic map and a Digital Elevation Model. Shapefiles containing aquifer boundaries and well locations were transferred to MODFLOW interface and a 150 m x 150 m resolution grid was formed. Using all available data, steady-state and transient groundwater flow simulations were performed for years 2013-2015 and the groundwater level distribution was obtained. Hydrologic parameters were also estimated.
