Özet (EN)
In the past quarter century, the use of UAV systems has been increasing rapidly and their use in various fields is becoming increasingly common. In addition to being used in military fields, it is also used for purposes such as commercial cargo transportation, smart agriculture applications, damage assessment studies in disaster areas. However, with the increase in the usage areas of UAV systems, various usage constraints emerge. The most obvious usage constraints are short flight times and low payload capacities. With the developing technology day by day, various studies have been carried out on the usage constraints of UAVs. Tethered UAV systems and tethered aerostat systems are some of the generally accepted solutions as a result of these studies. Tethered UAV systems are a drone-based solution that can operate uninterruptedly at low altitudes. In this thesis, the working structures of tethered UAV systems are explained, examples of their usage areas are given, and the advantages and disadvantages of these systems compared to normal UAV systems are presented. In addition, ethernet communication principles, which form the basis of communication over the power line, are explained. Power line communication (PLC) based system has been designed to be used in tethered UAV systems. Within the scope of this design, ethernet communication and PLC based communication were compared in terms of data transmission rates. A literature review was conducted for speed comparisons of OFDM method, which is widely used in power line communication, and FHSS and DSSS methods. Parity, CRC and Checksum error detection algorithms, which are widely used in data transmission, were used within the scope of the study and compared with each other.
