Özet (EN)

SUMMARY The Inclination Angle In Geostationary Satellites And Its Effects On Communication Satellites, which are one of the indispensable equipment in communication market, has been developing since 1963 so fast. At the begining of 2005, there are almost 250 geostationary satellites in orbit and 40 control centers on the earth to control them[ESA, European Space Agency]. Türksat Satellite Control Center, one of the control centers, had establisted in Gölbaşı, Ankara. One of the missions of the control centers is keeping the satellites in orbit due to provide continuous communications. So that consumers can have quality in own applications by using fixed antennas. Due to perturbations act on the satellites, they cannot be stable in their orbits. Our satellites Türksat IB, 1C and Türksat 2A intent to move to 75° east stable longitude and through the nonequatorial plane because of the perturbations. In order to keep satellites in geostationary orbit some applications must be done, called maneuvres. In maneuvres fuel and oxidizer are used, and determine the life of the satellite. They are loaded on the sattellites while on earth. It is impossible to reload fuel on a satellite so it is very important to consume fuel economicly. In this study a satellite, on which north maneuvreus stopped and began its life in inclined orbit used as a reference. First part of the study is on inclination angle estimation. After that, the communication performance on a satellite, in inclined orbit, is studied. To do this, the change on a footprint of an satellite calculated. Key Words: Inclined Orbit, Inclination, Footprint VII
