Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to examine and analyze the perceptions of the local population living in the province of Osmaniye regarding rural tourism. This study adopts a quantitative research approach, and the primary data forming the basis of the analysis was collected through 437 valid survey forms administered to residents of Osmaniye. These surveys constitute the main material of the research. The research problem is motivated by the need to understand the impact of rural tourism on the local community in Osmaniye, as well as their perceptions and expectations related to rural tourism, in order to assess the region's tourism potential. Measuring the local community's perceptions of rural tourism in Osmaniye can be considered an important step in revealing their views as stakeholders in tourism development and in raising awareness of rural tourism among the local population. In addition, one of the sub-objectives of the study is to determine whether perceptions of rural tourism differ based on demographic variables such as age, gender, marital status, and educational level.
