Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of salicylic acid (SA) and DL-b-amino-n-butyric acid (BABA) on mycelial growth of Sclerotium rolfsii (Sacc.) in vitro, in addition to the chemicals, the effects of extracts and dried plant materials of walnut, fig, eucalyptus, wild black pepper and oleander on disease severity in pepper and peanut were investigated. Results showed that the SA reduced the mycelial growth of pathogen with increasing concentration and was completely inhibited at 300ppm on PDA medium. Although, the concentration of BABA was increased to 1000ppm, the colony development was not singnificantly affected. Among plants extracts, the wild black pepper gave 86.5% reduction of disease development in pepper which represented the best result, while the application of walnut extract reduced successfully with 47.5% peanut. On the other hand, the dried walnut leaves showed the highest reduction effect both in pepper and peanut by 60% and 49.7%, respectively.
